-My motto, based on wisdom of those who have gone before you, is “you plus two.” In addition to a mother’s direct support person/partner, who else is a supportive ear prenatally, a coach during labor and delivery, and a helping hand postpartum? There should be mother, direct partner (even if the direct partner is her mother or friend), and an additional person of wise counsel. -If your system is unsupportive of your unique values, can you still find a supportive provider within that system? If not, please consult with a trusted friend or birth professional about securing a provider who will honor you.

-It is vital that as you journey forward toward your due date, your trust within yourself is high; that you are confident. This trust is built on a foundation of personalized birth preparation.
